Mother of pearl (MOP) has been used in interiors for centuries. The material which is also known as Nacre, is an organic–inorganic composite material produced by certain shellfish. It is also the material of which pearls are composed. Characteristic of MOP is that it is strong, resilient, and has a beautiful shine to it.
